Spray-dried instant coffee (SD) is the most traditional and economical option. It is a popular type of soluble/instant coffee, mainly used as an ingredient for coffee premixes (2-in-1, 3-in-1, 4-in-1…) for mass consumption.

A wide selection of spray-dried instant coffee is tailor-made by Volcafe Downstream: Micro-ground coating, cold-brew extraction… for all your needs.

Freeze-dried instant coffee (FD) is a higher quality option involving sophisticated technology. It’s traditionally consumed in mature markets, but the demand is spreading to a wider geography nowadays, targeting a premium market segment.

A wide selection of freeze-dried instant coffee is tailor-made by Volcafe Downstream: Cold-brew extraction, crystallised freeze-drying, micro-ground infused… for all your needs.

Agglomerated instant coffee (Agglo) offers a more premium quality than spray-dried instant coffee, but at a more affordable price than freeze-dried instant coffee. It's ideal for those seeking something in the middle, both quality- and price-wise.
